J-Men Forever
Back in the day. What day? My day! I use to get home from work close to midnight in time to watch NIGHT FLIGHT on the USA network. It was the wild, weird and wonderful stuff such a J MEN FOREVER. Lot of late night laughing going on at the Bynum house only because the level of humor it took to bring about said laughing had sunk to new lows.
Enjoy J MEN FOREVER!

Vice President Joe Bidden doing his background work before attending the Al Gore Inspirational Summit For Eco-friendly Business That Desires To Make Some Green From The Green or
the AGISFEFBTDTMSGFTG for short.
Alphabet Antics
This was the very first MST3K I saw. IT was kind of like when I saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the first time. I knew it was funny, but I had never witnessed anything like it. I just knew that my brain was having a par-tay! Enjoy....

Bubble Gum Cards
Back in the day....My day....the late 50's and early 60's, you could go to the store and buy a pack of bubble gum cards for a nickle. Five cents would get you five cards and a huge, honkin' stick of bubble gum. While sports cards were the most popular ( I could never figure out why you'd want to collect pictures of sweaty men) there were others that drew our attention. The one above, featuring the Creature From The Black Lagoon, came in a series of MONSTER CARDS. As you can see, at the bottom of the card were witty captions. Pretty tame for now, but our mother's, at the time, thought we were all going to hell because someone used the word "peed". You could say it at home behind closed doors, but heaven for bid it be printed in black and white for all to see. Alas, the 50's were strange days indeed.
Just a note from yours truly that when I found this image, it brought back so many memories of scrounging up a nickle to go buy these treasures. Money was not as easy to come by back then as it was today. Mom and Dad didn't fork over the moola just because little Junior had a craving for some store bought candy. The idea was..."little Junior want some candy? Little Junior better scooter himself outside and find a way to earn some money." We would scrounge ditches and visit elderly folks asking if we could have their empty drink bottles. You could return an empty drink bottle and get 3 cents for it. You could make a descent days wage for a kid on drink bottles alone. We were an enterprising group of kids, yes we were.
I do miss those days.
Spent most of childhood wishing I was grown up and now that I'm here, I spend most of my days wishing I was a kid again. Kind of strange ain't it?
Until next time....
See you later....

Mr B Natural Part 1
Here is one of the notorious "shorts" that was shown on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Meant to be informative, these short features are so dated that it is hard not to laugh at them.
Enjoy...

Drive-In Movie Ads : walk-in intermission 1950's
Movie Food!!! Wonderfully tasting....good for you......convinent...and OVERPRICED. I can afford the ticket to the movie, but I have to finance anything I get from the concession counter.
O.k...now I'm going to pull the ol' "WHY BACK IN MY DAY" trick.
Back in my day when you went to the movies....You could get popcorn and coke for 35 cents. Now....the same thing will tear up a Ten dollar bill.
Oh well, that's why I rent movies and stay home and make my own popcorn. Besides if I have to go to the bathroom, those darn movie theaters won't stop the movie until I return.
the angry ol' coot signing off....

The Mole People (1956) Trailer
The Original, serious, not to be laughed at, movie trailer for THE MOLE PEOPLE. My brother, Wayne, saw this at the Rainbow Drive In Theater and told me all about it. I was able to see it a few years later at the Etowah Theater in Attalla during one of their many multi-movie marathons.
Those were the days my friend.
We thought they'd never end.....

A look back at advertising for some of the really "Bad" films that came out as "movies of the week" made especially for television. The music in this video also will remind you of your need for leisure suits and shirts with big collars not to mention..........bell bottom jeans of all sorts and kinds.
Enjoy....
